A pioneer in selling cotton garments in India, Cottonking was founded in 1996 by Mr. Pradip Marathe, CMD Cottonking and Mrs. Shubhada Marathe, CFO Cottonking.
With a BE (Mechanical) and MBA (Marketing) and a rich experience of over 15 years, Mr. Marathe sensed the potential market for 100% cotton garments. Having served earlier in Kirloskar Brothers (Compressor Division) as GM- Marketing (All India sales), he started Cottonking's first and flagship store at Nal Stop, Pune.
Mrs. Shubhada Marathe, a graduate in commerce, co-founded Cottonking. She has over the years contributed substantially to the growth of Cottonking as a brand and is primarily responsible for Cottonking's sound and successful financial growth. Savvy with numbers and possessing a keen eye for detail, she is now the CFO.
