A pioneer in selling cotton garments in India, Cottonking was founded in the year 1996 by Mr. Pradip Marathe, CMD Cottonking and Mrs. Shubhada Marathe, CFO Cottonking.

With a BE (Mechanical) and MBA (Marketing) and a rich experience of over 15 years, Mr. Marathe sensed the potential market for 100% cotton garments having served earlier in Kirloskar Brothers (Compressor Division) as GM- Marketing (All India sales).

Mrs. Shubhada Marathe, a graduate in commerce, co-founded Cottonking. She has over the years contributed substantially to the growth of Cottonking as a brand and is primarily responsible for Cottonking's sound and successful financial growth. Savvy with numbers and possessing a keen eye for detail, she is now the CFO.

The duo had started Cottonking’s first and flag ship showroom at Nal Stop, Pune. Now Cottonking has reached the tally of 50 exclusive brand outlets spread across Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh & Karnataka states. Cottonking has immediate plans of widening the franchise network Pan India in various states like Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Goa, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa and Tamil Nadu.
